FAQ > Personal Training and Group Classes > I am incredibly sore after kettlebell training. Is this normal? What should I do?
For most people soreness is not actually an indicator that you have had a super hard workout. It usually just means that you are performing some movement your body is not accustomed to. That being said, after the first time you use kettlebells your soreness will be at it's height in about 48 hours, not the day after. One of the best things you can do when you feel sore is to get moving. Take a walk or do some exercise and I promise you will feel better afterward. Not moving when you are sore is the worst thing you can do.
For extremem soreness try a bath with epsom salts. Epsom salts can be purchased at any grocery store. Add a pint to a quart into your warm bath and take a good soak. You will be amazed at how much better you feel.
