Unless you enjoy running I would stop. Swings and snatches work you much harder than running does, without the negative impact on your joints. While running pounds your joints more with each step, swings actually build strength in the connective tissues. Swings also beat running due to the fact that in addition to the cardio and calorie burn you build strength. Running does not do this. A client once told me that doing a minute of swings was like sprinting non-stop. My response was that it is like sprinting non-stop, with someone riding on your back.
